The partnership between JoinPad and Samsung, established during MWC18, has allowed, in the last months, to optimize JoinPad’s technological solutions for Samsung’s hardware. Specifically, Smart Assistance was developed keeping in mind the characteristics and performance of the Samsung Tab Active 2 tablet, the most robust device among Samsung suite, making it possible to create a complete industry-grade solution.
Smart Assistance purpose is to connect a remote expert and an on field worker during remote support operations, enabling the real-time streaming of the work environment, enriched with Augmented Reality annotations.

Being oriented to several industries and markets, JoinPad Smart Assistance is the most flexible solution to connect remote experts and on field workers for troubleshooting. The solution is currently employed in the automotive, transportation, oil&gas, telco and aviation sectors.
Smart Assistance doesn’t just break down T&E costs incurred to send expert users where they’re needed, its see-what-i-see capabilites allows to reduce errors during repair and maintenance procedures virtually to zero, improving the information transmission quality during remote support calls.
What’s Next?
As mentioned by Samsung in their Case History about our work with Alstom, JoinPad’s team is working on the integration with several Samsung services.
One of them is Samsung DeX, that allows to use Samsung’s mobile devices with large displays like screens and monitors, turning smartphones to complete workstations, widening even more the range of devices on which JoinPad Smart Assitance can be used.
