Starting from tomorrow, the first edition of European Immersive Computing Summit, a two-day conference dedicated to XR technologies, will take place in Venice in a exclusive location: the wonderful Venice Palace Ca’ Vendramin Calergi.

“The greatest technology companies are investing large amounts of capital in this growing market, so there’s no doubt that XR is going to change many fields of everyone’s life, from education to medical science, from tourism to manufacturing, from entertainment to art and design.” This is the background to EICS, the first European Summit about immersive computing.

The event consists in two days of speeches given by leading figures of the Manufacturing world, important corporation CIOs and professionals in the field which will illustrate the most recent technology’s frontiers and their application area. Conferences are about four different application fields: “Architecture, Art and Design”, “Entertainment”, “Healthcare” and “Industry 4.0”. Each category has around four different talks for a total of sixteen speeches.

Mauro Rubin will open the Industry 4.0 track on the second day, talking about JoinPad as excellence in the field of Augmented Reality and our work with major corporates from the transportation sector.
