World Conference on VR Industry 2018 – Nanchang
We have been invited to speak at the 2018 World Conference on VR Industry that is held from 19th to 21th of October at Nanchang Greenland International Expo Center, Jiangxi Province, China. The city is one of the most innovative areas in the country, location of three economic and technological development zones, as well as a renowned historical and cultural site.
The theme of the conference, “VR makes the world better”, aspires to implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC: the focus is placed on finding new ways to develop the economy and the industry through cutting-edge technology, and at the same time, enhance the wellbeing of people. The discussion panels are centered on VR/AR problems, trends and solutions for industry applications. There are a primary forum and 12 sub-forums on diverse topics, ranging from education to advanced manufacturing.
The President of China, Xi Jinping, and the Chairman of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma, opened today the event which is sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province. The conference gathers together government officers of the province, local and international industry representatives, experts and scholars of the digital landscape.
Our CEO, Mauro Rubin, will give a speech on Saturday, 20th October titled “Augmented reality revolution”. Other internationally acclaimed speakers attending the event will be Lorenzo Cappannari, CEO of Another Reality, and Andrey Drobitko, CEO of SketchAR. We will recount the history of Augmented Reality until the state of the art of today’s smart glasses devices. Next up, we will address the evolution of Augmented Reality applications for the industrial sector by presenting some JoinPad’s use cases from 2010 to 2018.
In the latest years, we have increased our presence in China, becoming one of its main foreign players for AR/VR solutions. We are looking forward to meet with other innovators, industry leaders and prominent chinese personalities at the conference.
