Augmenting human potential with AR/VR
On November 20, 2019, we will be attending a conference on AR/VR titled “Stati Generali del Virtuale” organized by the Italian Modeling and Simulation Movement – MIMOS, a group made up of operators involved in simulation and virtual reality applications, at the CNR headquarters in Piazza Aldo Moro in Rome. The event will explore the state of the art of the new immersive technologies – Augmented Reality, Virtual, Mixed – setting itself as “a moment of verification and reflection on these technologies and their applications, inviting all stakeholders related to this topic to an open confrontation, verifying synergies and peculiarities, problems and opportunities, trying to understand if they really will be able to improve our lives “.
The event will gather together many experts who already applied AR/VR solutions in sectors as varied as Medicine, Defense, Architecture & Design, Aerospace, Education, Marketing, Cultural Heritage, Automotive, Fashion, Sports, Business Processes, and Human Behavior.
During the morning, our CEO, Mauro Rubin, will hold a presentation on the topic “Beyond human abilities. Augmented Reality, increasing human potential” to illustrate the benefits and opportunities that Augmented Reality can create within industrial companies. Furthermore, important actors of the AR / VR technological ecosystem will participate, such as Mattia Crespi of QBit Technologies, Guido Geminiani of Impersive, Mattia de Rosa of Microsoft, Alessandro Schillaci of Altran, and Matteo Favarelli of Anothereality. The event will be moderated by Antony Vitillo, AR / VR developer and mentor. During the day, there will be networking sessions and the awarding of two graduation theses on cutting-edge topics such as virtual telepresence and tissue engineering.
We thank Paolo Proietti, president of MIMOS, for the invitation and the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions on the present and the future of Augmented Reality which is taking on an increasingly prominent role in corporate strategies.
