Opening up a new JoinPad branch in China
Despite difficulties due to Coronavirus, JoinPad fully continues its operations in China to build new opportunities and partnerships through our collaboration with TusHoldings and its subsidiaries, TusCity, and TusStar. These organizations are working with cutting-edge worldwide companies to create an innovation cluster in the area of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, one of the most competitive economic regions in China, known for its industrial and manufacturing districts.
During the most challenging times of Covid19 in Italy, the Sino-Italy Organization, the Tus-Investment Group, and the SINEPARK‘s Chamber of Commerce in Ningbo donated thousands of medical equipment – masks and protective clothing – to Italian companies including JoinPad, which we have then distributed to local authorities in Milan.
After China tackled the pandemic and eased the lockdown, TusCity, located in YuYao, resumed its activities with two significant events held in late May and early June 2020, aimed at presenting the companies about to open their Chinese branches within a new international industrial hub.
We are proud to announce that we have been selected by the TusHoldings committee among the first 15 companies to enter the Yuyao’s innovation park, accessing many economic benefits and local government support.
On May 28th, our CEO, Mauro Rubin, attended the presentation of the projects chosen by TusHoldings in the presence of Deputy Vice Mayor of Yuyao, also government authority responsible for TusCity, along with TusHoldings representatives, the Mayor of Ningbo and other international companies. After introducing the companies and discussing their activities related to China, the event ended with the Deputy Vice Mayor and other authorities approving the projects.
On June 10th, the Mayor of Ningbo held the “Opening Ceremony of CEEC Industrial Cooperation Park and Signing Ceremony of the First Incoming Projects.” Signing ceremonies play a paramount role in China, where the business partners sit a table in front of one another in the presence of the highest party authorities and the media to seal the agreements publicly.
The event marked the official opening of a new International Industrial Cooperation Park between China and Central and Eastern Europe and the signing of the first batch of projects to enter the park, including the opening of a new JoinPad’s branch.
The park is designed to become an international platform for technological development, talent incubation, financial innovation, and commercial cooperation, complete with entrepreneurial services.

Mauro Rubin, CEO JoinPad, attends the signing ceremony online.
We attended it only online due to travel restrictions, though we had an authorized person in China who signed the paper. The Mayor welcomed JoinPad in the region and confirmed his continuous support to our company.
Once again, I would like to thank Tus Holdings, TusCity, the Sino-Italy Organization for sending us the medical supplies during the pandemic and the ongoing operational support in China. The Tus Holdings group confirms itself as an excellent partner to facilitate the development of a highly technological society. We also recommend the Ningbo government to anyone who wants to start business in China, as local authorities are creating numerous opportunities for international companies. – Mauro Rubin, CEO JoinPad
In addition to the collaboration with TusCity, we also started a partnership with AWS China, and Mauro Rubin took on the role of AI TusStar representative in Italy, confirming JoinPad and its members as a point of reference across the Italian-Chinese technological community.
