Seizing new business opportunities in South East Asia: Singapore and Thailand
From September 29 to October 1, join us online at ConnecTechAsia 2020, Asia’s largest tech showcase held annually in Singapore. The event encompasses the Communication, Broadcast, and Enterprise Technology and Services sectors, focusing on IoT, Smart Automation, 5G, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Cloud computing, and other breakthrough technologies that innovate our daily lives and business operations.
This year, due to the Coronavirus emergency, a virtual venue will bring together a wide range of international exhibitors from startups and scaleups to corporates like Sony, Qualcomm, and AWS. In the exhibitor’s area, you can find JoinPad in the EU Pavilion and connect with us by clicking on our company logo. Moreover, on Wednesday, September 30, at 14:30 Singapore Time (GMT +08:00), our CEO Mauro Rubin will give a speech about the “Augmented Reality solution for the B2B market: the remote assistance case” during one of the Exhibitor Spotlight sessions. Afterward, you can ask further to discuss business opportunities one-to-one at our virtual booth.

But how did we get to ConnecTech Asia 2020?
Earlier this year, JoinPad has been selected by the EU Gateway Business Avenues, under the EU Business Avenues in South East Asia program, founded by the European Union to establish long-lasting business collaborations in Asia. So now, we are about to take part along with other European companies in the Information & Communication Technologies Virtual Business Mission at ConnecTech Asia 2020, focusing on Singapore and Thailand as business destinations.
Before the event, we trained with EU Business Avenues representatives for months about the local culture, business insights, and market potential. Both countries are implementing lots of digital initiatives and providing research incentives to develop new technological applications for local smart infrastructures.
Singapore can claim highly developed information services as evidenced by its 1st and 2nd position, respectively, in the global networked readiness index (2016) and the world digital competitiveness index (2019). The government strongly encourages SMEs’ investments in new technologies that help upgrade their productivity through many incentives and programs. The goal is to transform Singapore into a 5G innovation hub by 2022.
Thailand has the second-largest economy in South East Asia, whose primary sectors are manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism. The digital transformation is at the heart of Thailand 4.0, which aims to promote digital services leveraging 5G, Big Data, IoT, human-computer interfaces, and Cloud solutions to boost economic growth in the next 5 to 15 years.
At ConnecTech Asia 2020, we will showcase Smart Assistance, the innovative communication system based on Augmented Reality and AI technologies, that helps companies to develop better remote support procedures, whether for maintenance and repair operations, or training, industrial acceptance testing, and commercial negotiations. The easy-to-use and highly interactive interface, which ensures clear information transmission even in the most critical connectivity situations, makes it the right remote collaboration platform for the industrial workplace.
We seek to establish new partnerships with end-users and solutions providers in the South East Asia market to create a productive technological synergy that promotes innovation in strategic sectors such as manufacturing 4.0, telehealth, and cybersecurity.
