Do I need special devices to use Smart Assistance?

The Smart Assistance platform runs on any tablet device, smartphone, Windows / Mac PC. The Android and iOS versions are available on the respective stores. To make the most of its potential, we recommend the following software versions:

  • Android above 7.1
  • iOS  above 11

Besides, the support operator can connect from the web using a browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera. We do not recommend the use of Internet Explorer.

Devices that implement software systems prior to 2017 may encounter technical problems when using Smart Assistance. If you have doubts about your equipment, contact us at info@joinpad.net for a free consultation with our hardware experts.

How can I buy an account?

Request your account and access the initial free trial by writing at the following email address: account@joinpad.net. To purchase licenses, send your request to sales@joinpad.net.

How long does the free trial last and how does it work?

You can request the free trial of Smart Assistance here. Once the account is activated, you can use a basic version of the platform for five days. At the end of the trial, you can choose from various purchase options. Contact our sales office for more information:sales@joinpad.net

For which geographical areas and languages is it available?

Smart Assistance helps you to communicate and collaborate in real-time all over the world. It is currently available in Italian, English, and Mandarin Chinese.

Why is it different from a video conferencing service like WhatsApp, Google Meet, Teams, Zoom?

Smart Assistance allows you to carry out the entire assistance process remotely from a single application and directly on site. Everything can be done in real-time directly from the screen, overlaying information in AR on the object on which you are working, and exchanging the necessary technical documentation. The platform allows you to record some intervention metrics and save all shared documentation to the cloud, avoiding the typical dispersion of data and information created using only apps for video conferencing.

Besides, in case of poor network connectivity, Smart Assistance allows you to switch to photo sharing mode and continue communicating using the AR directly on the images.

It is a complete Enterprise platform designed to enhance assistance processes during maintenance, sales, or remote testing, which simplifies interaction with real industrial environments and between operators.

How much bandwidth do I need?

Smart Assistance can also be used in the most complex network conditions since it integrates algorithms to scale audio and video quality based on the quality of the network. For an optimal experience, we recommend using Wi-Fi or a 3G/4G connection. In case of connectivity problems, you can switch to photo sharing mode to reduce bandwidth usage and continue working even in the most critical conditions.

Is Smart Assistance compatible with Smart Glasses?

The solution can be implemented on Smart Glasses with different functions according to the model. We continuously work to follow the updates of the hardware market, always to be compatible with the latest models, and to guarantee the best experience for our users.
