China - Italy: boosting innovation synergies
From November 25th to 29th, our CEO, Mauro Rubin, will attend the “China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week” to be held in Beijing and Jinan. The event, promoted jointly by MIUR in Italy and Ministry of Science and Technology in China, is held each year alternately in one of the two countries, and it is recognized in Europe as one of the most important bilateral collaboration programs between two States. The event was established with the purpose of “Promoting scientific and technological excellence of the two countries and strengthening the bilateral institutional dialogue; promoting the exchange of knowledge and the mobility of people between the scientific and academic communities of the two countries; linking high-tech companies to promote innovative products, services and skills; supporting cooperation between business and research players developing innovation.”.
The format is made up of two specific events – the China-Italy Innovation Forum and the Sino-Italian Exchange Event – and it is coordinated by Città della Scienza di Napoli, in collaboration with Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Confindustria, National Technological Clusters, the main Italian Universities, and Research Centers. It will focus on Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Factory, Smart Cities, Environmental Sustainability, Biomedicine, Design, and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage. On Tuesday, November 26th, the China-Italy Innovation Forum will celebrate the tenth anniversary in the presence of the respective Research Ministers, Lorenzo Fioramonti, and Wang Zhigang.
During the week, more than 310 Italian delegates, including our CEO, Mauro Rubin, will have the opportunity to meet and start partnerships with the most important Chinese stakeholders and local authorities in the field of research and innovation, participating in numerous one-to-one meetings, round tables, networking sessions, seminars, as well as visits to Technological and Excellence Centers , as the Computer Science Department of Tsinghua University.
As active players in technological innovation in the areas of Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence, we are honored to have the opportunity to participate in this important event, which fosters collaboration with China, a country where JoinPad has already been present for several years.
