On the 24th September JoinPad’s CEO and founder Mauro Rubin has been invited by HoloCrunch, an active AR community in Beijing, to attend an event entitled “How Augmented Reality will empower Industry 4.0”. The event venue was Vive X Accelerator in Beijing, with lot of attendees from the AR/VR development world, including big companies from the eastern market, like HiScenes (one of China’s best AR headset makers), IBM Watson and Ginwa.
It was essentially a closed-door, in-depth sharing session on how Augmented Reality technology would make an impact in Industry 4.0. Mauro shared JoinPad’s products and solutions and how they’re applied in different scenarios and use cases.
The event has been a big accomplishment for JoinPad’s team, with lots of people attending the speaking session, proving that China is moving really fast about immersive technologies and their application in the industrial sector.
HoloCrunch, the host, aims to encourage idea sharing on industry insights and technologies that will help to build an holographic world. It’s a community of top developers in fields like Augmented/Virtual Reality, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence in China.
Peggy Yuan, founder of HoloCrunch, hosts regular meetups, speaking sessions and conferences about these topics, past speakers include relevant names in the AR/VR ecosystem, such as Super Ventures and Lenovo, she also does early-stage AR/VR investment at HTC Vive X Beijing.
